(на мой взгляд перебор с пафосом в этой песенке, хотя сейчас лучше слушается, чем в 82-м - а видеоряд, сделанный почему-то финном, хороший)

I was in the US Army, stationed in Alaska, as the Soviet Union came to an end. They were an enemy I could respect, and had they continued I feel the balance would have kept the USA from the troubles we are seeing today.

The soldiers of today's US military that I know have little real respect for our current enemies. I get the nagging feeling that will not turn out to be a good thing for us.

I miss the Cold War, and I miss the Red Army that was almost as much of an old friend as an enemy.
